The Granit Hotel in Nová Polianka offers unique views of the High Tatras. In the past, it was known as a hospital facility and a highly specialised institute for pulmonary diseases. The building has a historic background and was designed by well-known Slovak architect Milan Harminc.
After a complex revitalisation and modernisation of the accommodation section as well as the portfolio of services, the hotel looks like new and has become a climate spa officially.
Great hotel location
The hotel has an ideal location that is appreciated by everybody who likes hiking, cycling, cross-country skiing, ski touring and walking. One can see even the town of Poprad or the summits of nearby mountains from the hotel rooms.
The rooms feature spacious balconies and modern furniture which not only looks good but is also comfortable as for the needs of individual guests.
Not far away, there is a Tatra Electric Railway (tram) stop, from where one can travel comfortably to Starý and Nový Smokovec or Štrbské Pleso. If you prefer traveling by car, there are designated parking boxes for hotel guests.
Climate spa and wellness
There is a health section supervised by specialised personnel – a doctor, a physiotherapist and nurses. The hotel is considered an official climate spa and specialises in respiratory diseases and syndromes resulting from the COVID-19 disease. The treatments are individually focused in order to maximise the relief of individual patients. The hotel features a wellness centre with saunas, a Jacuzzi bath and a relaxation zone. It offers massages and various medical treatments.
